Choosing your next school either for Year 7 entry, Sixth Form or as an in-year transfer is a challenging time. We hope that by looking through our website and our virtual tours you can get a good feeling of the ethos and values of our school, we live by the three words 'Engage, Enthuse, Inspire' and we expect every member of staff to weave this into everything they do whether it is via the teaching, the trips and visits, the displays in the corridor or the food available in the canteen we believe that everything we do matters just as every individual who joins our school matters.

We are not a school that chases government accolades, instead our ultimate accolade is the success and happiness achieved by our past pupils. This is not to say that we don't achieve all the government targets, we do this and more, we have even been featured in a parliamentary review of Careers guidance where we were featured as an exemplar school. What we do as a school is draw on our strengths to enable each individual to achieve their personal best in all aspects of their lives and goals. We pride ourselves on giving our students opportunities that not only gain them academic success and goals but also develops them as rounded individuals who contribute to their communities and to society as a whole.

One of our strength is the size of the school, not only does this allow students to find kindred spirits amongst the people they meet but it allows us to offer more through the curriculum, facilities, extracurricular opportunities and most importantly through our staff. Being a financially secure large school enables us to have a range of dedicated specialist professionals within the educational and business worlds that enable us to rise to every challenge. This is particularly magnified during the current situation when we have had the benefit of staff who can bring their expertise to not only the curriculum but to software, communications and site development.
