Choosing Stratford School
Choosing your next school either for Year 7 entry, Sixth Form or as an in-year transfer is a challenging time. We hope that by looking through our website and our virtual tours you can get a good feeling of the ethos and values of our school. We live by the three words 'Engage, Enthuse, Inspire' and we expect every member of staff to weave this into everything they do whether it is via the teaching, the trips and visits, the displays in the corridor or the food available in the canteen. We believe that everything we do matters just as every individual who joins our school.
We are not a school that chases government accolades, instead our ultimate accolade is the success and happiness achieved by our pupils. This is not to say that we don't achieve all the government targets, we do this, and more. We have even been featured in a parliamentary review of careers guidance where we were featured as an exemplar school. What we do as a school is draw on our strengths to enable each individual to achieve their personal best, in all aspects of their lives and goals. We pride ourselves on giving our students opportunities that not only gain them academic success and goals but also develop them as rounded individuals, individuals who contribute to their communities and to society as a whole.
One of our strengths is the size of the school, not only does this allow students to find kindred spirits amongst the people they meet, but it allows us to offer more through the curriculum, facilities, extracurricular opportunities and most importantly, through our staff. Being a financially secure large school enables us to have a range of dedicated specialist professionals within the educational and business worlds so that we can rise to every challenge.
