Covid Testing FAQs

Please find below answers to the most frequently asked questions regarding the testing process.

How do we register the test results once complete?

My child was absent when the tests were given out, how do they get their tests?

Any student who was absent when the tests were handed out must visit reception the next time they are in school and the reception staff will be able to provide them with tests.

Students must not break the year group bubbles to reach reception.  They must visit reception via the front door, either on their way onto site in the morning (they will then have to go back out and around to their year group door to access school) or on the way out in the afternoon (after leaving via their year group door and walking around the outside of the building).

When should students test?

Students should test every Wednesday and Sunday evening.

My child completed a void test and now has one test less that other students, what should they do?

Please follow the instructions above for what to do if you have missing items in the kits.

Can I have tests for the rest of my family?

My child had coronavirus, can they have a LFD test?

Anyone who has tested positive for coronavirus in the past 90 days should not test.

My child has had the vaccination, should they have a test?

Yes, the guidance we have been given is that those who have had the vaccine can still carry the virus so should continue to have LFD tests.

My child's tests are missing a swab /  one of the vials of solution are empty, what should they do?

If you are only missing the equipment to do one test, please do not worry, the next tests will be handed out to students at least one test slot before they are due to run out.

If the missing equipment affects more than one test, please ask your child to visit reception as above.
