School Aims

"Within the context of a secure and purposeful environment and partnership with parents and others, we will provide high quality teaching and a wide range of learning opportunities.  We will develop the potential of each individual and will encourage students to view learning as an activity to enjoy throughout their lives"

We will:

  • Make the school a rewarding and stimulating experience.
  • Develop the full potential of all students and staff and recognise their achievements both in and out of school.
  • Provide a caring environment within which everyone feels valued, happy and secure.
  • Ensure everyone works hard, aims high and takes responsibility for their actions.
  • Promote high standards of morals, values and behaviour and encourage everyone to co-operate with and respect others, as well as themselves.
  • Assist everyone to develop a wide range of skills, enthusiasm, interests, knowledge and understanding and be able to express themselves clearly in a variety of ways.
  • Encourage everyone to develop inquiring minds and independence of thought.
  • Assist all to develop flexibility and to anticipate their future needs.
  • Offer a broad, balance and relevant curriculum.
  • Encourage all to reflect on the world in which they live, having tolerance and understanding of others' cultures. This will include economic and environmental issues.
  • Encourage everyone to appreciate ‘living enhanced through learning’.
