Gift Aid

Stratford upon Avon School strives to provide the very best in terms of resources, facilities, activities and opportunities for our students. This important fundraising programme provides vital additional help to support both curricular and extra-curricular activities throughout the school year.

Over the past 5 years alone, generous donations from parents, guardians and the wider community have helped fund the purchase of a school minibus, books and equipment for our learning resource centre, ICT equipment, musical instruments, a PA system for the school hall and have enabled the development of a school allotment area.

Together, your donations help provide financial support and encouragement for each and every member of the school community.

Mr P Whyman, Chair of Governors "We have run a Gift Aid system in the school for a number of years now and it has provided our students with many items of equipment and opportunities that have enhanced their learning experience. With your continued support we can extend these opportunities further within the school to enable more and more students to experience the benefits. We greatly appreciate your backing of the school in this way.”

The most popular tax-effective method of giving in the UK is through Gift Aid. This enables the trust to reclaim the basic rate of tax on your gift. When you give money out of your taxed income, Stratford upon Avon School Trust can reclaim the basic rate of tax you have already paid, meaning that your gift is worth 25% more. Basic rate tax is 20%, so if you give £10.00 using Gift Aid, it is worth £12.50 to the school.
