WCC Emergency Messaging Service

We would like to encourage all parents/carers to sign up for the Warwickshire Emergency Messaging Service, which, if the school had to close for any reason, will ensure that you are texted /e-mailed immediately after the school has informed the Local Authority. Please note that you must update your request annually as registration expires each August.

This service can be found at www.warwickshire.gov.uk/schoolsandlearning:

  • On the right hand side of the screen, under ‘Do It Online’, click on ‘School closure SMS Alerts’.
  • To sign up for your free school closures texts service, you will need to set up a Warwickshire County Council online account.

  • Once the WCC online account registration process has been completed, you can then register for the emergency messaging service for up to 3 local schools.

Twitter

Parents can also follow the school on Twitter. This supplements the website and keeps you up to date with what is happening in school as well as the latest news and notices.

To access Twitter on your smartphone, please download the Twitter app and search for us @StraUponAvonSch or go https://twitter.com/StraUponAvonSch. Our Twitter feed can also be accessed by clicking on the Twitter icon that features at the top of every page on our website www.stratforduponavonschool.com.
